Where do I start in reviewing R.C. Norman. Long story short we miss them and everyone knows thats not usually the case with home construction. Allen, Kermit, Cheryl and the entire crew are fabulous. They are responsive and go above and beyond. R.C. Norman puts the customer in charge, while giving expert advise to aid us with sound decision making. Sounds to good to be true well I can tell you none of us are related. But now we are part of the R.C. Norman family because thats exactly how they made us feel. You would be insane not to choose them for your next project. R.C. Norman will be our go to for all things construction.

My husband and I have used RC Norman twice and have been very happy with both projects. We chose RC Norman over other contractors even though their quote was higher because they are a fully insured company with a long list of satisfied (and repeat) customers. The projects that we have had them do were substantial and we were willing to pay more for high quality work and the confidence that they would be done right.

The first project was in 2017 and was the removal of our fireplace and installation of a sliding door. They did such a great job both inside and out that guests can not tell where we used to have a fireplace. (Picture is of the completed project. The view is a lot prettier than staring at a fireplace we did not use.)

The second project was finished this summer 2019 and was a complete remodel of our master bathroom and shower. We bought handmade Andalusia style tiles from Spain for this project and RC Norman handled them with care. Additionally, we doubled the size of our shower, had a window put in overlooking our backyard, foldable mirrors installed, new lighting, and new flooring. It was a multi-week project, but well worth it. (Pictures are of completed project minus new paint using a fish-eye camera lens.)

I appreciate that they always answer my calls quickly, provide updates, and never made me seem like a bother (even if I called them several times in a week). If a part of the project was going to run over the originally agreed upon amount they would explain why and what options we had. They do not take credit cards, cash or check only. They also do not include painting in their quotes. We will use them again for any other future projects! Thanks Kermit, Cheryl, Jim, and everyone at RC Norman!

The team at R.C. Norman was great to work with on our bathroom remodel and kitchen flooring projects. Jim Nighman who is the sales representative we worked with was very insightful on helping my wife and I choose a design that worked very well with our older home. Cheryl and Kermit (owners) were also very helpful in making sure our projects met or exceeded our expectations. And last but not least, the installation team of Dave, Steve, Jay, and Tony (sorry if I left anyone out) took their time and paid great attention to detail in finishing our projects like it was their own home. I am writing this testimonial for the work RC Norman did for us during the last few weeks. We had a fairly substantial damage to the inside of our house due to damage to the roof caused by high winds. RC Norman was the only contractor that was willing to complete the needed repairs for the amount approved by the insurance company. From the first time Russ came to our home to discuss the details to the end of the job, every single person involved in performing or supervising the work was professional, friendly, courteous, punctual, and detail oriented. We also asked them to perform additional work at our expense which was added to the original contract with minimal paperwork. We found the quality of their work to be excellent and they even took care of little things without our asking. We find RC Norman employees to be very conscious of the quality of their work, their image and our satisfaction. They want to fix the problem right the first time rather than “put a band aid on a broken leg”. They want to do a thorough job so that they can stand behind their work.

As it turns out, the problem was as simple as a pilot light, which may or may not have been from their work. However, the contractor told me that it was being billed to R.C. Norman. No questions.

Our home began as a three room fishing cottage in 1945. It has graciously withstood (and so have we) the harrowing experiences of three previous major remodeling projects. The fourth project just completed by your company has been the easiest and best project yet.

From the first contact with Larry Keener to the last contact with Kermit James today, everyone has been courteous, professional and considerate throughout. Ben, Brian, Jason and all the guys worked hard and thoroughly. They handled all situations immediately and expertly, even when Bob and I threw a “monkey wench” into the works! They solved problems quickly and efficiently. When they needed equipment or supplies, one phone call was made and within 30 minutes what was needed was on site.

We were impressed from the beginning and still impressed when the job was done. That in itself is something to be proud of. But we cannot leave out one important person in all of this. Cheryl took us in hand on “shopping day” and helped us pick out just what we wanted, and when we couldn’t find something, she helped us find an alternative solution. She made this process much easier than we had anticipated it to be.

Well the project is now complete. We are absolutely thrilled with the result!

Just a note to send our best wishes to ALL of you during this holiday season. We have “tried out” the new house during the holidays. Last Sunday we had most of the family here at one time. It was wonderful!! The kitchen made cooking fun. The dinning room was made to hold everyone. It was a joy to sit in the big living room and watch the five grandchildren present enjoy their new Christmas presents. The tree was perfect in the Sun room. Even the Christmas cactus, which has never blossomed until Easter and had only three blossoms at a time, is happy in the sun room. It has been in blossom for over two weeks with 35 blossoms!

Ronda’s sister called this afternoon and told us her recent horror story with a heating contractor. Just a simple little job has been a real mess. It made us realize again how wonderful your company was to work with! This includes everyone who worked here as well as Bob and “RE-Bob” and of course Cheryl. Please thank everyone for us. Any of you are welcome to stop by anytime to see the end result, (of course, the end is not yet here-maybe it will stop raining sometime next spring so we can landscape.)
